The additional benefits and functionalities provided by various additives and specialty resins are as diverse as the TEGO product range itself. Antistatic additives, for example, are used to manufacture electrically conductive floor coatings, silica nanocomposites impart scratch and abrasion resistance to high gloss coatings for wood and plastics, and "easy-to-clean" coatings facilitate maintenance efforts. The longevity of architectural coatings can be increased by TEGO products which produce a water beading effect. Release properties produce blocking resistance so that window frames do not stick together or cakes can be more easily removed from baking tins.

Silicone elastomer particles can be bound into the resin matrix of a coating using reactive resin modifiers. This markedly increases impact strength as required, for example, in the coatings for wind turbine rotor blades. Even coatings with very good long-term high and low temperature resistance can be formulated using TEGO specialty resins, while the haptic properties of surfaces can be specifically adjusted with TEGO products. Touch modifiers ensure that leather and plastic surfaces have a pleasant feel and a high-quality appearance.
